Hydroseeding

Hydroseeding is a form of seed planting in which a slurry of water, seed, mulch and other turf/soil amendments are mixed in a tank, and then sprayed onto the soil. Hydroseeding has long been a preferred method of Erosion Control on construction sites and along highways, and is quickly becoming popular in residential settings as a cost-effective alternative to sod.

Pre & Post Emergent

Pre and Post Emergent refers to herbicides that are applied to the lawn at different times of the year to combat weed growth. Pre-emergent stops weed growth before or during germination, so it doesn’t have a chance to come up. Post-emergent herbicides work on weeds that have already sprouted. Post-Emergents are most commonly used by homeowners.
